Champions of the Just

Bunch of Polished Helms

The PC approaches Sera at the tavern in Haven.

Sera: Chasing the Lord Seeker, I hear? Anyone who thinks they need “lord” in front of their name, that’s bad. Bet he’s got a portrait taller than he is. That’s your first clue he’s a total arse. Fact!

After the templars are recruited:

Sera: Templars filing up the place. Best of the polished helms, come to save us.

Sera (templars conscripted): Keep them leashed good, right? Useful bunch, but all I hear is they don’t do what they’re told.
Sera (templars allied): Good partners, I suppose, if they decided to stay and do what they’re told. Seem to have a problem with that.

Dialogue options:

  • General: There are none more useful. [1]
  • General: The best tools for the job. [2]
  • General: Do you like templars or not? [3]

1 - General: There are none more useful.
PC: We need their special talents. Only they are up to the task.
Sera: I agree, right? Shove them right up there. Just watch while you do it, that’s all. [4]

2 - General: The best tools for the job.
PC: Whatever you think, they’re the best hammer for this particular nail.
Sera: Well, watch your thumbs, because a templar might… might slip or… hmm. [4]

3 - General: Do you like templars or not?
PC: I can’t tell, do you approve of templars or not?
Sera: Approve? They do their job when they do it. What else is there to know? [4]

4 - Scene continues.

Sera: You on about anything else?

Scene ends.

In Hushed Whispers

So Many Robes

The PC approaches Sera at the tavern in Haven.

Sera: Chasing mages. That’s a templar’s job. A big, armored, pissed-off helm polisher. Not to late to go find some. Or stay home?

After mages are recruited:

Sera: Well, that’s mages all over. So many robes, I bet all of Ferelden lost their curtains. I’ll just be on the other side of Haven. Just in case.

Dialogue options:

  • General: They are here to help us. [1]
  • General: They’re what we need. [2]
  • General: You don’t like mages? [3]

1 - General: They are here to help us.
PC: These mages are here to aid the Inquisition. Don’t worry.
Sera: Sure. Don’t worry. Magic up there, magic down here. What’s to worry about?

2 - General: They’re what we need.
PC: You expected something else? We needed this.
Sera: We needed? No, pretty sure that question was never passed my way.

3 - General: You don’t like mages?
PC: Do you have a problem with out new allies?
Sera (mage PC): No problem with mages. You’re fine, right?
Sera (non-mage PC): No problem with mages. I mean, you know some that are all right.
Sera: My problem is with magic. If mages sat on their hands, everything would be fine.

4 - Scene continues.

Sera (mages allied): I mean, yay, freedom. Great for them. Over there. Away from me.
Sera (mages conscripted): You know it, too, that’s why you’re shoving them up towers after. That’s good, right?

Scene ends.

Post-game

Sera: Hey.

Dialogue options:

  • General: Need anything? [1]
  • General: Hey. [2]
  • General: That’s it? [3]

1 - General: Need anything? PC: Any problems? Sera: Not anymore. I have you. Sera: As if. There’s not much left we haven’t punched in the face. Sera: Just you, sometimes. [4]

2 - General: Hey. PC: Hi. Sera: Mmm, you always know just what to say. Nothing bothers me now. Sera: Good talk, yeah? Nice and relaxed.

3 - General: That’s it? PC (romanced): Just “hey”? NO screaming or other lover’s drama? PC (high approval): No mess you need to drag friends through? PC (neutral/low approval): No complaints or accusations about what I’m doing wrong? Sera: Pfft. Tired of that. Besides, it’s not our headache anymore, innit? [4]

4 - Scene continues.

Sera (Cassandra Divine): Not like Cassandra, right? Wearing the big hat now. Lots of people for her to be angry at. Sera (Leliana Divine): I mean, we’re in with Leliana, so we have no problems. It’s the ones who piss her off who need to squirm. Sera (Vivienne Divine): I mean, maybe everyone’s shaking a bit with Vivienne in the big hat. Rightly.

Sera (romanced): Whatever. It leaves time for us, and whatever you want to do. In bed. Or out there. Mostly in bed. Sera (negative approval): I’ll be leaving too, when I figure out where to go. I can help out ‘till then, if you’re not too much of a tit. Sera (neutral/positive approval): I’m staying, though. You find fun often enough. Not sure where else I’d be.

Scene ends.
