When approaching something unusual

  • Valta: Now this is interesting.
  • Valta: I found something.
  • Valta: You’ll want to see this.
  • Valta: Quite a find.
  • Valta: I think there’s something here.
  • Valta: Come take a look. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Renn: What the sod is that?
  • Renn: Have a look at this.
  • Renn: Something over there.
  • Renn: Found something over here.
  • Renn: Didn’t expect to see that.
  • Renn: Here’s something.

Killing Me Softly

  • PC: This belonged to an exiled dwarf. He was experimenting with raw lyrium. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: More on the lyrium experiments. Looks like his results were inconclusive. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Builder’s Towers PC: Only a lyrium-addled mind would hide secrets behind such madness. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: So that’s how the lyrium experiments ended.

Behind various gates

  • PC: A lost caravan. It may have been down here for centuries. I wonder if anything’s left. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: These goods are amazingly well preserved.

On Broken Knees

  • PC: This Grey Warden had a map. Could be important. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: This matches what’s on the Grey Warden’s map. Time to look around.

Blood ritual chamber

  • PC: The bodies are still warm. Whoever’s doing this can’t be far. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: Another shrine. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Upon finding Arcane Horror PC: You’re behind the rituals.

The Nug King

When finding the cheese. PC: Why is this here? Perhaps there’s a use for it.

The PC comes across a waystone by an abyss

PC: Words are carved into the stone: “Only those who believe may cross.” Subtle.

The leap down and a bridge appears beneath their feet.

PC: Glad that worked. The alternative would have been messy.

The travel into a cave and find and alter.

PC: An altar… for offerings?

They place the cheese, and nugs appear seemingly out of nowhere. A nug wearing a crown appears on the alter.

Varric: Well, shit.

Nug King: (Squeaks judgmentally.)

PC: Are… are you putting me on trial?

The PC kneels in front of the nug.

Nug King: (Squeaks affirmatively.)

[I’m not sure for certain, but based on the dialogue and the flag triggers of “medium” and “harsh” judgements, I think the flags may be related to how many nugs you’ve killed through the game.]

  • PC: (Squeaks deferentially.)
    ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Medium judgement PC: That’s completely unfair. You don’t know the whole story. Besides, I didn’t kill all of them. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Harsh judgement PC: I wouldn’t have to kill so many of them if they weren’t always underfoot. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • PC: Oh. Well… thank you. It is their… er… your home, after all.

Nug King: (Squeaks regally.)

PC: I’m feeling very… judged.

Legion Camp

First camp

  • Oska: The Legion is honored by your presence, Inquisitor. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Yekhar: So it’s true. The king involved a surfacer. Legionnaire 3: We’ve lost so many. The Inquisitor’s a welcome sight. Yekhar: The Legion can handle darkspawn. It’s what we’re born for. What we die for. Legionnaire 3: And the tremors? Don’t be Stone-blind, Yekhar. This is beyond the Legion. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Makev: You can clean it, right? Legionnaire 4: Stay still. Makev: It’s a small cut. Legionnaire 4: Even breaths, Makev. Makev: The blight. It’s in my blood, isn’t it. Your face gives you away. Legionnaire 4: We don’t know for sure. Makev: It’ll be too late when we do.

Second camp

  • Oska: The way you brought down that emissary, Inquisitor. A thing of beauty. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Legionnaire 3 Has the Inquisitor earned your respect now, Yekhar? Yehkar: Aye, but it changes nothing. A surfacer will always be a surfacer. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Makev: I can feel it now. The blight. It’s spreading. Legionnaire 4: Yes. Makev: It’s gonna hurt. Legionnaire 4: Just remember, you’re already dead. Drink some ale. It will help. Makev: Wish the bastard had run me through.
