Preparations
The team gathers in the library.
Neve: Tearstone Island. That’s where Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain will perform their ritual.
Emmrich: With an eclipse, those two can finish their dagger, then tear open the Fade. After that… we’ve witnessed the horrors Ghilan’nain creates with even a trickle of the blight. What happens with a flood?
Bellara: Next eclipse is a month away. That’s not a lot of time.
Taash: Getting past the Antaam navy won’t be easy. They’ll be on high alert.
Harding: We’d need our own fleet to get past them. Which we don’t have.
Dialogue options:
- Affable: We’ll find a way. [1]
+ Bellara Approves
+ Emmrich Approves - Irreverent: This is no time to quit. [2]
+ Harding Approves
+ Taash Approves - Tough: None of this is easy. [3]
+ Davrin Approves
+ Lucanis Approves
1 - Affable: We’ll find a way.
Rook: If anyone can find a way around that fleet, it’s us. “Everything seems impossible at the beginning. Just fight one battle at a time.” Varric told me that.
Varric: Damn right, kid.
2 - Irreverent: This is no time to quit.
Rook: A dozen ships. A dozen fleets. Would that really change the odds against Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain? By all rights, we should already be counted out of this fight. But look at us. We’ve made it this far. No one quits.
Varric: Damn right, kid.
3 - Tough: None of this is easy.
Rook: We’re facing immortals. We’re fighting gods. Doesn’t get any tougher than this. The harder it is, the more it’s worth doing. That said, we can make it easier on ourselves.
Varric: So, what’s the plan?
4 - Scene continues.
Return to previous tree.Rook: A single boat can sneak past a blockade. We just need to find something that floats.
Lucanis: The Antaam fleet may not spot us, but the gods see much farther.
Neve: Worse, they know about us specifically. They’ll be waiting.
Dialogue options:
-
Affable: So we overwhelm them.
Rook: Let’s make sure there’s too many distractions for them to spot us. -
Irreverent: That’s flattering.
Rook: They’re taking us seriously, which is flattering. And it can work in our favor. -
Tough: They can’t look everywhere.
Rook: The gods see farther than anyone, but they can’t see everything at once.
Varric: Sounds like you have a plan.
Rook: Harding. Reach out to our allies. Wardens, Veil Jumpers, all of them. Tell them to be ready to start swinging. We start enough fires, make some noise, and the gods will look everywhere for us. Except at their front door.

| Harding: You’ve helped our allies, Rook. They’re ready to return the favor. | Harding: It could work. Our allies aren’t as strong as they could be… But with a smart plan, they could make it through. | Harding: It’s worth a shot, but… Our allies aren’t strong enough to fight a prolonged battle. We could be signing their death warrants. But… it’s the best plan we’ve got. |
Davrin: That takes care of the approach. But what about when we get there? We’ll have two gods waiting. Who knows how many Antaam. We’ll need to be at our best. Question is, we there yet?

| Emmrich: We are ready as we’ll ever be. | Emmrich: There’s still much we could do to prepare, but… We may all yet survive the day. | Emmrich: We’ve still too much unfinished business nipping at our heels. There’s time before the next eclipse. It’s best we use it. |
Harding: I’ll send off messages to our allies. They’ll be ready.
Dialogue options:
5 - What about Morrigan?
Rook: Would Morrigan help? Could Morrigan help?
Harding: The world’s ending? That’s when Morrigan does her best work.
Rook: Great. Tell Morrigan the plan. See if the Inquisitor’s willing to help us. I know [they’re] busy leading the fight in the South, but… [They know] this Blight won’t end until the gods are dead.
6 - We need everyone.
Rook: For something like this, we’ll need everyone we know. Would Morrigan help? Could Morrigan help?
Harding: The world’s ending? That’s when Morrigan does her best work.
Rook: Great. Tell Morrigan the plan. See if the Inquisitor’s willing to help us. I know [they’re] busy leading the fight in the South, but… [They know] this Blight won’t end until the gods are dead.
7 - What about the Inquisitor?
Rook: What about the Inquisitor? I know [they’re] busy fighting in the South, but… This doesn’t end until the gods are dead. [They know] that.
Harding: Saving the world? Sounds like the Inquisitor.
Rook: Reach out to [them]. Morrigan, too. We could use their help.

| Rook: We’re ready as we’ll ever be. We need to make our move soon. | Rook: I know it’s risky, but we need to move soon. Hit the gods before they expect it. | Rook: We need to move soon, ready or not. |
Lucanis: I agree.
Rook: Get some rest. And be ready.

| Rook: I hear that we’re as ready as we’ll ever be, but we can always be more prepared. | Rook: We might be ready, and might not. But we can make that a certainty. | Rook: We’re not ready, but we can be. |
Rook: Weeks until the next eclipse gives us time. Let’s use it wisely.
Lucanis: Agreed.
Rook: Get some rest. Then we’ll take care of outstanding business.
Scene ends.\ Return to previous tree.
