Welcome to Antiva
Rook travels to Treviso, and the scene pans over the city, focusing on the numerous Antaam forces that patrol.
Treviso. One of the finest cities in Antiva… now living under occupation.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Rook: I’ve arranged for one of my friends to meet us. | Rook: Let’s hope our Crow contact can meet us. |
They are approached by a woman as they wait on the bridge.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Teia: You made it! I hear you go by “Rook” these days.Rook: It’s good to see you. Meet Andarateia of House Cantori.Teia: No need to be formal with friends. Teia, please. Come. Viago is gathering the others. He’s happy you’re home.Rook: I doubt that.Teia: Trust me. He complains more when you’re not around. | Teia: Welcome to Antiva. You must be Rook.Rook: And you’re Andarateia Cantori. Of the Crows?Teia: Teia, please. Come. My associate Viago is gathering the others. We can talk business when we arrive. |
The Butcher: (Amplifier) Your hourly reminder that we are here to enforce your safety.
They explore around the bridge, where a boat is docked nearby.
Trevisan Citizen: Rations?
Weary Trevisan: To feed their men. That’s what I heard.
They follow Teia, passing some Antaam as they go.
Antaam Soldier: Mind your business. Antaam Guard: Move along.
Young Trevisan: My uncle wasn’t a part of it. I was told he’d be released. If there was a request. If you had any word from…
Antaam Guard: Go about your business unless you wish to join him.
Antaam Guard: Move along. Antaam Guard: Keep moving.
They pass more Antaam.
Trevisan Citizen: The documents. It’s… all there.
Antaam Guard: Sloppy. Have your papers in order next time.
Trevisan Citizen: Of course. Yes. I’ll be more mindful.
Antaam Guard: Good. We’re here for your protection.
Antaam Guard: Move on. Antaam Guard: Keep order.
Two Antaam speak to another civilian.
Antaam Soldier: Meravas adim kata.
Antaam Guard: My friend says “come with us.”
Trevisan Citizen: I… all right. I’m not trying to cause trouble. I swear.
- Bellara: How long have the Antaam soldiers been here?
- Harding: The Antaam soldiers have made themselves at home here.
- Neve: The Antaam soldiers have made themselves comfortable.
Teia: We have suffered their company for too long. The Antaam reached a stalemate in their war with Tevinter. Some turned here instead. Antiva was rich, comfortable… and has no standing army to stop them.
They pass by a healing tent.
Trevisan Citizen: You went to the physician?
Injured Civilian: She stitched it well enough. Gave me what she could to ward infection.
Trevisan Citizen: What she could?
Injured Civilian: The Antaam confiscated half her supplies. Said they need it for their army.
Trevisan Citizen: For our damned “protection.”
They keep moving.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Rook: I hate seeing Treviso ground down. | Rook: It must be hard, dealing with the Antaam. |
Teia: This occupation will not last. The Antivan Crows remain. And one day, I will see a knife through every would-be tyrant’s throat.
Trevisan Citizen: She didn’t come back?
Weary Trevisan: She said too much. They were listening and… they won’t let us speak to her.
They follow Teia up a trellis and across a zipline.
Teia: We have arrived.
- Bellara: Wow! This is… not what I expected.
- Harding: A casino?
- Neve: A casino. Nice set-up.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Rook: The Cantori Diamond. | Teia: Welcome to the Cantori Diamond. |
Teia brings them inside to where a few Crows wait.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Viago: Did you finish that contract? To stop the Dread Wolf?Rook: Hello, Viago. And it’s complicated.Viago: How many times do I have to tell you? Crows always finish the job.Rook: We just can’t take initiative, right? My run-in with the Antaam taught me that.Teia: Don’t let him scold you too much. Vi was worried about you.Viago: (Nervously clears throat) Rook. This is Caterina Dellamorte.Rook: The First Talon. I’m honored. Which makes you… | Viago: You’re the client?Teia: This is Rook. Did you want a drink? I promise not to let Viago near it.Viago: (Sighs) Viago de Riva. Fifth Talon. And this is Caterina Dellamorte. First Talon of the Crows.Rook: An honor. And you are? |
Illario: Illario Dellamorte. Her grandson. What brings you here?
Rook: Right. My target is a pair of elven gods—or that’s what they call themselves. They’re ancient blighted mages.
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Rook: I need our best. The man who brought blood mages and Venatori to their knees. | Rook: My detective says you have a man who brought blood mages and Venatori to their knees. |
Caterina: Lucanis. My grandson. They called him “the Demon of Vyrantium.” He was the one who did those jobs.
Dialogue options:
1 - Affable: Perfect.
Rook: Exactly who we’re after.
Viago: Except Lucanis Dellamorte is dead. He was killed a year ago.
2 - Sarcastic: Well, that’s a relief.
Rook: Sending a demon to take down a god. Sounds like a plan.
Viago: It’s a nonsense plan, but that’s not important. Lucanis Dellamorte is dead.
3 - Stoic: What’s the catch?
Rook: Sounds like there’s more to it.
Viago: Lucanis Dellamorte is dead. He was killed a year ago, now.
4 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree.Caterina: What I say doesn’t leave this room. The body our people brought back was not my grandson. It was dressed in his clothing, but it had been altered with blood magic to have his face.
Illario: My cousin is still alive? And you didn’t think to tell me?
Viago: His ship was attacked. We knew someone sold him out… so you kept your suspicions to yourself.
Rook: But you’ve brought it up now. Why?
Caterina: I’ve had eyes on the Venatori ever since they took my grandson from me. They were hunting your Dread Wolf. And what you did to his ritual threw them into disarray. They made mistakes. And now I have a location. The Ossuary. Where the Demon of Vyrantium is kept. Find this Ossuary. Free Lucanis. You’ll have your god-killer. And I’ll have my grandson.
The Demon of Vyrantium
They follow Illario out of the Cantori diamond.
Illario: Come. Caterina arranged a boat. One of our mages will meet us there.
Rook: A boat?
Illario: Did you think the Venatori would keep a normal prison? Or that one could hold the Demon of Vyrantium? The Ossuary lies beneath the sea. A fact I learned mere minutes ago.
- Bellara: But the enchantments required must be immense.
- Harding: Under the… oh, this is going to be just great.
- Neve: Secret and excessive. Sounds like Venatori.
Rook: You’re not happy Caterina kept this from you.
Illario: Would you be? Lucanis is family. Maybe she thought I’d act too rash if it meant saving him. And now… Who can say if he’s even still alive?
They arrive at a small dock.
Illario: There. You take the boat.
Rook: Are you coming with us?
Illario: It’s possible we’ve been watched. If all of us vanish from the dock… You play the alluring hero. I know Treviso. If we have a tail, I have a better chance of distracting their interest.
Rook and their companion climb into the boat and are taken out into the water. Once they are far from shore, their escort stops.
Rook: So how do we get in?
Antivan Crow: You’ll see.
The mage begins to work, causing the water to swirl around them. The scene fades back into Rook at the entrance of some kind of underwater structure.
Rook: Someone—or something—already took down the guards.
- Bellara: Let’s hope we don’t run into whatever did that. Do we think Lucanis is still alive? I guess there’s one way to find out.
- Harding: I can’t decide if that’s good or bad. But we have a demon to find. Any ideas?
- Neve: Might work in our favor, but something’s wrong here. Let’s hope we find our demon alive.
The camera pans to the surrounding water. A whale swims past.
Rook: Look!
They continue in.
Rook: So, this is the Ossuary. This doesn’t look like any prison I’ve seen.
They reach a bridge that vanished as they approach.
Rook: Well, we’re not going that way.
- Bellara: This place looks elven. I bet it’s been underwater since the gods were imprisoned, at least.
- Harding: Oh. So the place is underwater and falling apart. That seems real safe.
- Neve: The Venatori set up shop in an elven ruin. It’s a wonder anything works.
They continue.
Rook: I can’t believe all this is underwater. If the enchantments containing this place ever failed…
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
|
|
They spot a Venatori barrier ahead.
- Bellara: It’s a magical barricade. Whatever’s inside, the Venatori really didn’t want it getting out.
- Harding: Whatever’s behind that door, it’s important. Which means that’s the right direction.
- Neve: A barrier. Whatever’s in there, the Venatori really want it to stay put.
Rook: Then we break through.
Rook destroys the floating crystals.
Rook: All right! We’re almost through!
They destroy the last of the barrier and head into the cell.
Rook enters a room full of crystals and Venatori, who are doing some kind of magic. They turn as Rook enters.
Rook: We don’t have to fight. We’re just here for Lucanis Dellamorte.
The Venatori prepare to fight.
Rook: Get ready.
Ossuary Guard: Razikale, Dragon of Mystery. Lusacan, Dragon of Night. Hear your faithful call—
Lucanis bursts out of the crystal with purple demon wings, and kills the Venatori.
Rook: I’m guessing you’re the reason we’re here.
The wings vanish, and Lucanis turns.
Lucanis: Who are you? Who sent you?
Crow | Non-Crow |
---|---|
Rook: My name’s Rook. House de Riva. I’m here to bring you home.Lucanis: House de Riva. You’re a Crow. | Rook: My name’s Rook. Caterina sent me.Lucanis: Caterina… But… you’re not a Crow. |
Dialogue options:
- Affable: I’m here to help. [1]
- Sarcastic: Today’s full of surprises. [2]
- Stoic: You need to trust me. [3]
- Mage: And you’re not human. [4]
1 - Affable: I’m here to help.
Rook: I’m breaking you out of here, but… what are you?
Bellara/Harding/Neve: Rook. He’s possessed by a demon.
2 - Sarcastic: Today’s full of surprises.
Rook: You weren’t expecting a rescue, I wasn’t expecting… whatever that was.
Bellara/Harding/Neve: Rook. He’s possessed by a demon.
3 - Stoic: You need to trust me.
Rook: I’m your way out.
Bellara/Harding/Neve: Rook. He’s possessed by a demon.
4 - Mage: And you’re not human.
Rook: And you’re possessed by a demon.
5 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree.Lucanis: It’s complicated.
Rook: Caterina promised us a mage-killer if we broke you out of here.
Lucanis: I can still work.
Rook: Good. Because I’m pretty sure more Venatori are on their way. We have to get moving.
Lucanis: They have a vial of my blood. They can use it to control me. I cannot leave it in their hands. And… I had a contract when I was captured. One of my targets is here. Calivan.
Lucanis: You know what that means. Crows don’t break contracts. Lucanis: Crows don’t break contracts.
Dialogue options:
-
Affable: We’ll help.
Rook: All right, we’ll help. But in return, I want help killing some things. -
Sarcastic: Any other requests?
Rook: Yes, yes. The famous Crow contracts. So you want a prison break, a blood heist, and assassination help just to get you out of here. -
Stoic: Make it quick.
Rook: Fine. But we make it quick.
Lucanis: I’ll owe you.
Rook: I’m sure we’ll owe each other before this is all over. Let’s go.
First Order of Business
Lucanis joins the party, and they leave the cell.
Rook: So, first order of business…?
Lucanis: Blood first, then my target. Calivan. The prison warden.
Rook: Where do we find them?
Lucanis: In the tower. There’s a bridge.
Rook: Not anymore. We’ll have to find another way across.
They are attacked by Venatori on the way out.
Lucanis: Good. Mages. My specialty.
They defeat the mages.
Rook: All right. One of them has a key.
- Bellara: So where would they keep it? The blood, I mean.
- Harding: This is a big place. Where would they keep vials of blood?
- Neve: The blood vial. Where do we go?
Lucanis: Calivan keeps it under guard. Blood is the only thing that can bind a demon. If they lose it…
Rook: Then it’s chaos.
They enter a room full of contraptions and corpses.
Mage | Non-Mage |
---|---|
Rook: Wait… were they torturing demons? How? Why?Lucanis: They didn’t all start out as demons. Zara made sure they ended up that way. | Rook: What was going on here? |
- Bellara: Blood magic. They used humans and elves as sacrifices to summon spirits.
- Lucanis: They weaken the Veil with blood magic and summon whatever they can from the other side.
- Neve: Living prisoners for blood magic. Blood magic to summon spirits.
Lucanis: Any spirit can become a demon. Zara didn’t give them a choice.
Rook: Zara?
Lucanis: Zara Renata. There might be a higher-ranking Venatori somewhere, but I don’t know of one. This place is all her.
They leave the room and spot some corpses in the distance.
- Bellara: Undead! Well, dead bodies animated by spirits, technically.
- Harding: Corpses possessed by demons. Watch out.
- Neve: Possessed corpses! Must be common in a place like this.
Lucanis: Zara Renata’s work. This place exists just for her to make new, worse kinds of demons.
Rook: Venatori ahead.
Lucanis: Mine.
They defeat the Venatori and begin to look around the cells.
-
Bellara: This is fascinating! Ordinarily, a demon would barely be able to perceive someone like Lucanis.
Lucanis: It’s complicated. -
Harding: Rook. You sure about this? Abominations—
Rook: We made a deal with the Crows to bring him back. And don’t forget that it’s gods we’re up against.
Harding: Right. Well, abominations never end well. Just remember I warned you. -
Neve: Never heard of an abomination who wasn’t a mage.
Lucanis: I’ve seen demons possess corpses. Ashes. And hair once.
Neve: At least this one’s got good taste.
They continue past the cells, across a bridge Rook activates with a crystal.
- Bellara: So the blood vial the Venatori took…
- Harding: So the vial of blood the Venatori took from you…
- Neve: So, the vial of blood the Venatori took from you…
Lucanis: It’s for blood magic. To control me. And the demon. Until it’s gone, I cannot touch Calivan.
They reach the bridge that vanished before.
- Bellara: Now what do we do?
- Harding: Great. Now what?
- Neve: Okay. Now what?
Lucanis: What are you—fine. He says he can get us across.
Rook: Who is “he?”
Lucanis: The demon. He says there’s something here. Something he can grab hold of in the Fade. It’s close.
Rook: The demon… pulled all of that from the Fade?
Lucanis: I’m as surprised as you.
- Bellara: They’re fighting? But the Venatori summoned all these spirits.
- Harding: They’re fighting? But the Venatori made all these monsters, didn’t they?
- Neve: Venatori at odds with their creations. Not surprised they lost control.
Lucanis: Blood mages. They never learn. Zara can summon all the demons she wants, but they don’t have to obey her.
They fight and defeat the Fabricator.
Rook: What did Zara want all these undead for?
Lucanis: Nothing. Those are the failures.
Rook: If those are failures, what does success look like?
Lucanis: She took the “best” results out a few days ago. But some of the demons she created are still here.
Rook: Calivan. You said he’s the one in charge?
Lucanis: No. He’s a lackey. He runs this place for a powerful magister. He was my target a year ago. Now we both want him dead.
Rook: “We” meaning…?
Lucanis: Demons don’t forgive.
They spot a large group of demons ahead.
- Bellara: These demons. They’ve been… did the Venatori do this?
- Harding: What kind of demons are these?
- Neve: These demons—there’s something off. The Venatori have done something.
Lucanis: They’re why this place exists. This is what success looks like.
The continue towards another bridge where some Venatori appear.
Lucanis: Mierda. These guys. Let me hit him first, then you can take him down.
After they defeat the Venatori and continue down the path, the ground shakes.
- Bellara: I don’t think that’s a good sign!
- Harding: I don’t like this!
- Neve: Well, that’s not good.
Lucanis: We may not have much time.
The bridge ahead is broken.
Lucanis: This way. There’s a shortcut.
Rook: Lead the way.
They reach an area called the blood vault.
- Bellara: So what’s the plan to find this thing? There’s a lot of space to cover.
- Harding: How are we supposed to find this thing?
- Neve: Any clue where to start? Or we’ll find those on the way?
Lucanis: I know it’s here. We can smell it.
They find a bunch of corpses on tables and various devices scattered around.
- Bellara: They… the Venatori tortured these people. May you find peace.
- Harding: Look at what’s left of these people… they were tortured. What a terrible way to die.
- Neve: These people. They were tortured. Damn it.
Lucanis: Very few people survive Calivan’s “rehabilitation.”
Rook: You did.
Rook finds the elevator out.
Lucanis: Wait. We cannot go after Calivan yet. Not while he has my blood.
They find a Venatori barrier.
Lucanis: We need to get that barrier down. Find the crystals that power it.
Rook begins to take down the barrier crystals.
- Bellara: One down! Two to go!
- Harding: There! Just two left now!
- Neve: Two left!
Rook breaks another crystal.
Rook: There! Just one crystal between us and the other side of that barrier.
They break the final crystal.
Lucanis: That’s it! The barrier should be down.
Rook: Let’s see what’s on the other side.
They take down the barrier. There’s a table in the room they enter with a huge bottle of blood sitting on it.
- Bellara: Wow. That’s less of a “vial” and more of a “bottle.”
- Harding: When you said, “a vial” of blood, I thought it would be small.
- Neve: Venatori never do anything subtle. Look at that thing!
Lucanis: There. That’s the one. It has to be.
Rook destroys the vial.
Lucanis: It’s finally gone.
Rook: So now what?
Lucanis: Now we find Calivan.
A Message
They return to the elevator.
-
Bellara: So, Lucanis. Your demon. Feeling contained?
Lucanis: Mostly. -
Harding: Rook…
Rook: It’s us against gods, Harding.
Lucanis: I am right here, you know. -
Neve: Anything we should know about Calivan?
Lucanis: You want to hear about his torture methods or something else? We didn’t chat.
Rook: It’s fine. We can talk about something else. What’s Caterina like?
Lucanis: After so long in this pit… I barely remember.
They reach Calivan.
Calivan: Ugh, this was entirely unnecessary. Zara and her little jests. “He’s already the Demon of Vyrantium! Won’t this be ironic?” Hilarious. And now look at the mess you’ve made of my facility. She always leaves me to clean up.
Rook: So this is Calivan.
Lucanis: He is.
Lucanis: The target I was sent for a year ago. A Crow never abandons a contract.
They fight.
- Calivan: What did they offer you in exchange for my life, Crow? Was it worth it?
- Calivan: Oh, you brought ruffians with you. Were you lonely?
- Calivan: You are nothing to the Venatori!
- Calivan: I will put you back in your place!
- Calivan: You are a failed experiment, not worthy of my time.
- Calivan: The Ossuary is my domain! No one leaves here!
- Calivan: You will pay for your arrogance, Crow.
- Calivan: You will return to your chains!
- Calivan: I am in control here!
- Calivan: I am the right hand of Zara! You will fall!
The party brings down his barrier and continues to attack him.
- Calivan: Demons! Your master calls!
- Calivan: Come forth, prisoners!
- Calivan: By blood, I command you!
Calivan summons (becomes?) a pride demon, and returns after the demon is defeated.
- Calivan: I will have order!
- Calivan: I refuse to fall!
- Calivan: No! I will not be a victim like the others!
- Calivan: I will not be defeated!
They defeat Calivan, and Spite appears next to Lucanis.
Lucanis: (Exhales) The Crows send their regards.
Rook: So we got your target.
Lucanis: Yes. The job’s done.
Spite: (Inhales) Smells like blood. Ashes. Not done. Not yet.
Dialogue options:
-
Affable: Are you okay?
Roko: Lucanis… Are you all right? Lucanis? What are you looking at? -
Sarcastic: So… we can go, right?
Rook: So we can leave, right? Lucanis? Right? -
Stoic: Time to go. Rook: Let’s move. Lucanis.
Spite: Careful. They know. We’re not right.
Lucanis: You cannot see him. I wondered.
Rook: We clearly have things to discuss. Somewhere else.
Lucanis: Agreed. I think… it’s time I got some air.
Lucanis: Shall we go?
Dialogue options:
1 - Not yet.
Rook: Soon. Let me secure the room first. Rook looks around a bit more.
2 - Let’s go.
Rook: I’m ready to get out of this place. Lucanis: Imagine how I feel.
3 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree. They return to Treviso. Illario looks over a table, Viago and Teia stand nearby. The place looks in dissaray.
Teia: Maker…
Viago: Lucanis?
Lucanis: What happened here?
Illario slams his fist on the table.
Illario: A message. From Zara Renata. I can’t believe it. You’re home.
Lucanis: Zara… her people got this close?
Rook: The woman who runs the prison?
Lucanis: The Venatori witch who captured me.
Rook: Revenge for the breakout, maybe?
Lucanis: Where’s Caterina?
Teia: She’s…
Teia bows her head, and Viago takes her by the shoulders.
Viago: The Venatori got her in the confusion.
Illario: I get one of you back, only to lose the other.
Dialogue options:
- Stoic: We had an arrangement. [4]
- Sad: My condolences. [5]
+ Lucanis approves. - Afraid: The gods are behind this. [6]
4 - Stoic: We had an arrangement.
Rook: I had a deal with Caterina. If that’s not honored…
Lucanis: You have your contract.
5 - Sad: My condolences.
Rook: Lucanis… I’m so sorry.
Lucanis: I need to work.
Teia: Are you sure? You should take some time.
Lucanis: I don’t need time—I need a target.
6 - Afraid: The gods are behind this.
Rook: Someone killed the First Talon of the Crows, now? After the gods escaped? That’s not a coincidence.
Illario: Zara’s been a thorn in our side before. And you said yourself, it could be revenge for your prison break.
Viago: No. Rook’s right. The timing is suspicious. For many reasons.
Lucanis: When I find Zara, I’ll ask her.
7 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree.Illario: You just got here, and already you want to leave again?
Lucanis: Caterina gave me a contract. I’m not breaking the last deal she ever made. And I owe Rook. Once that’s done… I’ll come home.
Dialogue options:
- Affable: I’ll make sure of it. [8]
- Sarcastic: We won’t keep you long. [9]
- Stoic: We need to discuss the demon. [10]
8 - Affable: I’ll make sure of it.
Rook: I’ll return him in one piece.
Illario: Thank you.
9 - Sarcastic: We won’t keep you long.
Rook: Can’t say your new contract’s easy. But we’ll be as quick as we can.
10 - Stoic: We need to discuss the demon.
Rook: You haven’t explained what happened in the Ossuary, Lucanis.
Lucanis: Later.
Rook: I won’t forget.
11 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree.Illario: Cousin. When you find Zara, I want—I need—to be there.
Viago: We’re under attack. Antaam on one side and now Venatori on the other? Forget revenge, we need you—
Teia: No, Viago. Zara came for us here. In my house. She took Caterina from my house. You find her and cut her heart out, Lucanis. Vi and I will hold down the fort.
Lucanis: I’ll give her your regards, Teia.
Teia: For Caterina.
The scene fades, and one of Varric’s narratives cuts in.
Varric: The Crows had lost a Talon. But the Demon of Vyrantium was free at last. Sooner or later, debts new and old would come due. And they would all be paid in blood.
Spite
They return to the Lighthouse. Bellara and Neve are sitting at the table in the kitchen, and Lucanis stands by the fire.
Bellara: They’re the same thing. Mostly. Kind of.
Neve: Except one will manipulate you. Or kill you. Or both.
Lucanis: But how do you get rid of them?
Bellara: Um…
Rook: What’s everyone talking about?
Lucanis: Spite.
Neve: The demon in Lucanis. When a person gets possessed—the demon usually takes control.
Bellara: And they turn into a monster. The spirit just… molds them. However they want.
Neve: I’ve heard of abominations being cured by killing the demon in the Fade. That’s not a sure bet, though.
Bellara: Well, there’s one way. But it’s, well… we’d have to, um…
Lucanis: You’d have to kill me.
Dialogue options:
- Affable: There’s got to be another way. [1]
+ Bellara Approves - Sarcastic: Oof. [2]
- Stoic: If it’s necessary. [3]
1 - Affable: There’s got to be another way.
Rook: That can’t be the only solution. Can’t we… reason with Spite, maybe? Persuade it to leave?
Lucanis: Talk doesn’t work on Spite.
Spite appears near Rook.
- Spite: He doesn’t want to hurt you. How rare. Everyone else does.
- Spite: She won’t hurt you. How sweet.
- Spite: Oh, they won’t hurt you. How sweet.
2 - Sarcastic: Oof.
Rook: Well, that’s awkward.
Spite appears near Rook.
- Spite: He’s fun. You’re never fun.
- Spite: Oh, I like her. She’s fun.
- Spite: I like them. They’re fun.
3 - Stoic: If it’s necessary.
Rook: If things get out of hand, that’s always an option.
Spite appears near Rook.
- Spite: Careful of him.
- Spite: Careful of her.
- Spite: Careful of that one.
4 - Scene continues.
Back to previous tree.Spite moves next to Lucanis.
Spite: I want to talk to [them].
Lucanis ignores him.
Bellara: Before we do, well, that. Let’s think this through some more. There has to be a solution.
Neve: I have people in Minrathous I can ask, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
Rook: All right, so what next?
Spite: Let me talk to them! I want. To talk. To Rook!
Lucanis’s nose starts to bleed.
Lucanis: (Gasp of pain)
Bellara: Lucanis!
Neve and Bellara jump up, but Lucanis holds up a hand.
Lucanis: No, it’s fine. I’m fine.
Dialogue options:
- Investigate: He hurt you? Why? [5]
- Sad: You shouldn’t be used to this. [6]
- Afraid: He could kill you. [7]
- Angry: This is not fine. [8]
+ Neve Approves
5 - Investigate: He hurt you? Why?
Rook: What did he do that for?
Lucanis: Throwing a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way.
Neve: But he could just take you over. Make you do what he wants.
Bellara: It’s, you know. Not great. But kind of good news? In a way?
6 - Sad: You shouldn’t be used to this.
Rook: He’s done this before? Enough that you just shrug it off.
Lucanis: He’d do this in the Ossuary. The Fade does whatever a spirit wants. Real walls and chains, not so much.
7 - Afraid: He could kill you.
Rook: You’re bleeding. Maybe that’s not fine.
Lucanis: He won’t kill me. He cannot do that and get what he wants.
8 - Angry: This is not fine.
Rook: Don’t pretend this is all right. It wouldn’t be fine if another person did it.
