Catching Up With Vivienne

The PC finds Vivienne by the fountains.

Vivienne: Darling, you made it! Excellent! I scheduled this appointment ages ago, and they do appreciate punctuality.

PC: Appointment?

Gave Vivienne the heart of the snowy wyvern Vivienne: With the Imperial Gardens Spa, of course! You work so hard, my dear. I wanted to treat you.

Did not give Vivienne the heart Vivienne: I booked us for the Imperial Gardens Spa months ago. You look so tired, my dear. You need their help at once.

They sit on the couches.

Dialogue options:

  • Qunari: A Qunari in a spa? [1]
  • Dalish: They serve elves here? [2]
  • General: Sounds like fun. [3]
  • General: Thanks, I think? [4]
  • General: I’m not a spa person. [5]

1 - Qunari: A Qunari in a spa? PC: I feel like I’m going to break something in here. Or someone. Vivienne: You’ll present the staff with a special challenge, darling. The experience will be good for them. [6]

2 - Dalish: They serve elves here? PC: I’ve never heard of a fancy spa serving elves.

Vivienne Divine Vivienne: Darling, you’re the Inquisitor, and I am the Divine. What Maker-fearing soul would refuse us anything? [6]

Vivienne not Divine Vivienne: You are the Inquisitor, darling. Savior of the empire? They won’t turn you away. [6]

3 - General: Sounds like fun. PC: That sounds like a fantastic idea. Vivienne: Of course it is, darling. That’s the only kind I have. [6]

4 - General: Thanks, I think? PC: Well… that’s very… generous? Vivienne: I know! I even surprise myself sometimes. [6]

5 - General: I’m not a spa person. PC: I’m not really a spa kind of person, Vivienne. Vivienne: Darling, that is precisely why you so desperately need this appointment. [6]

6 - Scene continues.

Vivienne lounges back. The scene cuts to the PC and Vivienne dressed down, with mini cheese wheels over their eyes.

PC: What are the cheese wheels for?

Vivienne: It pains me that you even have to ask. You’ve clearly been living too long in barely civilized conditions.

Sera runs by in the background.

PC: Did you hear something?

Vivienne: Relax, darling. It’s spa day. How have you been? It seems ages since we’ve spoken.

Choice dependent dialogue:

Romanced Cassandra Vivienne: I hope things are well with you and Cassandra. Vivienne (Cassandra Divine): Is everything all right between you and our Divine Victoria?

Romanced Cullen Vivienne: How are things with our dear Commander Cullen?

Romanced Dorian Vivienne: How are your international relations with our favorite Tevinter magister-to-be?

Dialogue options:

  • General: Things are good. [11]
  • General: Looking for juicy details? [12]
  • General: I never kiss and tell. [13]

11 - General: Things are good. PC: Things are excellent—thank you for asking. ㅤㅤ ㅤ High approval Vivienne: I’m glad to hear it. You’ve done so much, darling. You deserve to be happy. [16] ㅤㅤ ㅤ Neutral/low approval Vivienne: It’s such a comfort to hear that at least one facet of your life hasn’t fallen apart due to incompetence. [16] ㅤㅤ ㅤ 12 - General: Looking for juicy details? PC: Are you digging for gossip, Vivienne? Trying to get me to give up the juicy details? Vivienne: Merely expressing concern for your well-being, my dear. Someone ought to. [16] ㅤㅤ ㅤ 13 - General: I never kiss and tell. PC: I would never kiss and tell, Vivienne. You know that. Vivienne: Merely expressing concern for your well-being, my dear. Someone ought to. [16]

8 - Broke up with Sera/Blackwall/Romanced Solas

Broke up with Blackwall during personal quest Vivienne: I’ve been worried about you since the whole “Blackwall” incident.

Broke up with Sera after WPHW Vivienne: I’ve been worried about you ever since things with Sera ended so dramatically.

Romanced Solas Vivienne: I know you were cruelly disappointed when Solas left.

Dialogue options:

  • Angry: I don’t want to talk about it. PC: Let’s talk about something else. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Stoic: I’m fine. PC: I’m perfectly fine, Vivienne. ㅤㅤ ㅤ
  • Sad: It still hurts. PC: I’m still not over what happened.

High approval Vivienne: You deserve so much better, darling, but let’s not dwell on the past. [16]

Neutral/low approval Vivienne: We shouldn’t dwell on terrible mistakes, should we? It’s spa day. [16]

9 - Romanced Harding

Vivienne: I hope you finally took that adorable scout somewhere nice.

Dialogue options:

  • General: Uh… yes. Yes, I did. [14]
  • General: Not yet… [15]

14 - General: Uh… yes. Yes, I did. PC: Scout Harding! On a date! Yes, of course I did. Vivienne: Good. I wouldn’t want you to break the poor girl’s heart. I’m sure there would be a reprisal. [16] ㅤㅤ ㅤ 15 - General: Not yet… PC: No, but soon… Vivienne: Don’t toy with her, darling, it’s unkind. And she’s rather capable with that bow. [16]

10 - No romance Vivienne: No doubt this peace conference is boring you to death. I can hardly blame you. So much hot air. [16]

16 - Scene continues.

Sera runs past again, chased by a servant. There are bones-in chunks of ham scattered around.

Dialogue options:

  • Flirt (not in romance): Are you seeing anyone? [17]
  • General: What have you been up to? [18]
  • General: Do you come here often? [19]
  • General: Does the council concern you? [20]

17 - Flirt: Are you seeing anyone? PC: So, how are you, Vivienne? Are you… with anyone? Vivienne: (Laughs.) Oh, aren’t you just precious? [21]

18 - General: What have you been up to? PC: You must be keeping very busy.

Vivienne Divine Vivienne: A Divine’s work is never done. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. [21]

Leliana Divine Vivienne: Someone has to keep the mess that’s been made of Thedas’s institutions of magic from flying apart. [21]

Cassandra Divine Vivienne: The Circle needs more supervision than a toddler. It may master using the privy on its own any day now. [21]

19 - General: Do you come here often? PC: Do you come to this spa very often? Vivienne: As often as I can. Sadly, no more than twice a year at best. Duty first. [21]

20 - General: Does the council concern you? PC: How do you think the conference will end? What do you think they’ll decide? Vivienne: It’s all foolish posturing. The nations of Thedas know they can only politely ask the Inquisition to be on its way. [21]

21 - Scene continues.

Vivienne stands.

Vivienne: Don’t you feel better, my dear? This place really does work miracles.

PC: What… happened?

Vivienne: Darling. It’s spa day. Don’t fret. You’ll undo all the good they’ve done.

More chunks of ham are scattered everywhere.

Vivienne: Come along, Inquisitor! They have other appointments, you know.

Prompted Conversation

High approval Vivienne: Darling! What can I do for you?

Low approval Vivienne: Inquisitor. Did you need something?

1 - Dialogue options:

  • Flirt: So… are you seeing anybody? [2]
  • General (Vivienne Divine): You’re the Divine now. [3]
  • General (Vivienne not Divine): Let’s discuss the new Divine. [4]
  • General: How is the Circle? [5]
  • General: Goodbye. [6]

2 - Flirt: So… are you seeing anybody? PC: I just wondered… it’s been a few years now… I don’t suppose you’d consider…? Vivienne: (Laughs and laughs.) [back to 1]

3 - General: You’re the Divine now. PC: How is the Chantry treating you, now that you’re Divine Victoria? Vivienne: Quite well, my dear.

Allied maged Vivienne: We had some work to do, persuading Fiona’s malcontents to return to society. In the end, sanity prevailed.

Seekers rebuilt Vivienne: The surge in recruitment of Seekers has proven quite a boon.

Templars allied Vivienne: We’re rebuilding, despite the Silver Shield poaching a number of former templars.

Vivienne: There are still the occasional grumbles about having a mage Divine, but they’re easily silenced. [back to 1]

4 - General: Let’s discuss the new Divine. PC: I wanted your opinion of how Divine Victoria is working out.

Leliana Divine, Hardened Vivienne: Leliana’s tenure has been even more disastrous than I imagined. [back to 1]

Leliana Divine, Softened Vivienne: Leliana is managing to hold the Chantry together, just barely. Likely your influence. [back to 1]

Leliana Divine, personal quest incomplete Vivienne: The Chantry is held together by a single, desperate thread. Leliana is hopelessly out of her depth. [back to 1]

Cassandra Divine, high approval Vivienne: Cassandra is handling her office as admirably as I expected. History will remember Victoria as a truly great Divine. [back to 1]

Cassandra Divine, neutral/low approval Vivienne: The schism growing within the Chantry is a problem, but I have no doubt Cassandra will crush the dissidents in time. [back to 1]

5 - General: How is the Circle? PC: How are things for the Circle of Magi?

Leliana Divine Vivienne: If you call it “the Circle” while they’re in earshot, you’ll never hear the end of it, my dear. “The College of Enchanters” is a ridiculous mess, but it’s still a useful institution for training mages. [back to 1]

Cassandra/Vivienne Divine Vivienne: The Circle is recovering. So much was lost during the rebellion. Lives most of all. So many experienced teachers gone… But I have hope. And determination, which is better. [back to 1]

6 - General: Goodbye. PC: We’ll talk another time.
